60 The thirty-eighth annual com- mencement exercises of.the Lebanon Community High School were held Thursday, May 28, 1959, at 8 p. m. in the grade school gymnasium. Marshals and ushers were se- lected according to their scholastic rank. Therefore, marshals were Mary Putt and Ann Walker. Ushers were Susan Lutz, Beverly Schroer, Lee Reid, Robert Berkemann, Ann Hohrein, and Dave Rawlings. Mary and Ann are pictured at right.

SCIENCE FAIR AWARDS: Bausch and Lomb: Harrison Church. First Place in Greater St. Louis Science Fair: Jane Bunge, Judy Trame, Nancy Saathoff, Judy Cotts, Terry Burk, and Ann Walker. Second Place Awards: Linda Epping, Allan Frerking, Gail Monken, Thomas Milligan, Edna Shegog, and Janet Galloway. Third Place Awards: Sharon Carriere, Margorie Vaninger, Lewis Dunning, Marva Shegog, Lee Reid, L, J , Harms, Donald Wilcox, Janet Norris, John F, King, Mary Richardson, and Susan Lutz. AGRICULTURE AWARDS: Ten students participated in the Section Fair: Livestock, August 25, Highland, and received 95160.'72, and Bob Vaninger received the Grand Champion dairy animal award. Eleven students received 845.58 at Waterloo, December 6, Grain. Don Koenig received 7th, and Robert Henss received 8th in the Section Pioneer Corn Growing Contest. DeKalb Corn Achievement Contest: Banquet, Breese, February 4: Robert Henss, Edward Harpstrite, Don Koenig, Robert Berkemann, Bob Vaninger, Jerry Meyer, Harvey Harpstrite, and Earl Harpstrite received a certi- ficate: Robert Henss also received a plaque.
