NANCY EVANS Business Manager EDITORIAL As editor of the 1954 Angelus, Ican very clearly see that a room for the sole use of the Angelus staff is badly needed, There would be less chance of being interrupted or of losing materials, as only those actually working on the yearbook would be al- lowed in the room. There would also not be as much time lost in preparing the copy, as all material could be planned, typewritten and checked in one room, in- stead of in three or four, as at present. Uncompleted work could be left where it was instead of being hustled into a drawer in another room ar the close of a period, only to be assembled again in the first spare moment. The present library would be an ideal place for such a workshop, lt has really be- come inadequate for library purposes, Shelves are over-crowded and many books have had to be tucked away in closets, making it difficult for pupils to use them readily, However, it would be excellent as a workshop as it is well lighted, easy of access and large enough for our purpose. The staff has tried to do everything possible to produce a good book this year. We feel a yearbook is more than a reminder of classmates and school days, wherever it goes, it will represent the school and its activities. The students are anxious to have a book they can be proud to show anyone. Many people who have never been on our campts will see this book and judge our school by it. We wish to thank all who have helped in any way in the production of the book, and those who have so loyally supported us by taking advance subscriptions, i.Q JANE NELDER Editor in Chief
