,rf FORWARD Like a store house of memories, this Tech Liber, will enable us in the future to relive our years at Leavenworth. In the fall of 1947 the doors of Leavenworth beckoned us, and we enrolled as the class of 1951. Little did we realize when we became Freshman that we were beginning a most memorable period of our lives. The initial difficulties of adjustment to a secondary school curriculum and the mischievous antics of our upperclassmen bothered us at first, how- ever, as the months went on, we overcame these difficulties. September, 1948, found us proud Sophomores, and fully initiated mem- bers of the student body Although our studies were a bit harder, we were able to master them, for we had become a year older, and presumably somewhat wiser. We were considered upperclassmen as juniors and our whole environ- ment seemed to change. We became more social-minded, attending our school's dances and had two of our own, the junior Social and the Junior Prom. Time marched on and we found ourselves Seniors, clothed with the Dignity of our status, and the responsibility of setting a good example in all ways for the other classes. Various committees had to be formed to conduct the many business and social activities of the class. We held dances, the proceeds of which were used to cut down our class expenses. Every individual Senior selected his best proof from the photographer, and proudly displayed his class ring. As the spring of 1951 rushed upon us, all our thoughts were tumed to the great day of graduation, the day when our four satisfying years would come to an end. After leaving the halls of Leavenworth, we shall miss the companionship of many of our friends and teachers, but we will have eyes ever forward as we enter a new world, to take upon our shoulders some small share of our national and local problems which are the natural heritage of every new generation. - ' Class of 1951 Dx 4:11 ..-414 1' . -5:1512 .-:ffl .. .:ffE3EC-' .-ss:s:s -5- ..s:1:aa:s:s:z:fs A-5 plkzrkgigijkz. . t , ,.
