THE JUNIOR BED CROSS The Junior Red Cross carried on its peacetime program through the school year. This consisted principally of contributing our time and effort to Veterans hospitals. Utility bags, bed slippers, pajamas and lop ropes were made by the girls while the boys made ping pong paddles and cribbage boards. All these articles were sent to veterans hospitals in Connecticut. We also sent Gift Boxes to the children of Europe, One of our members attended a Junior Red Cross convention in Cleveland, Ohio, early in June. She returned embued with enthusiasm for a more comprehensive program for next year.
