Three thousand people packed the State Armory on Field Street, February 14, 1941, to witness this great event. This year's general chairman was James Coleman. John A. Dillon appointed the various committees which made the carnival a success. The entertainment for the evening consisted of a basketball game, vaudeville, and dancing. Mr. Tracy's varsity team went out to defeat Mr. Reiger's Alumni in a good basketball game. Following this game came Harry X. Cashin's entertainers, whose acts were en- joyed by all who attended. Timmie Crowe's Orchestra furnished music for the dancing, which lasted the rest of the evening. Refreshments for the evening were handled by a committee with Miss Elizabeth Brophy as chairman. The purpose of this Carnival was to raise funds for the support of athletics at Leavenworth. We wish to thank both faculty and students for the splendid co- operation that helped to make the Leavenworth Athletic Carnival a great success.
