-E- vat ma af TECH HI-Y From the cooperation between two great institutions with like principles, Leavenworth High School and the Central Y.M.C.A., has sprung another great organization, the Hi-Y Club. The Tech Hi-Y started bcak in the year 1938. It consisted of twelve members, but has rapidly increased its membership to twenty-four members. In its infancy, the Tech Hi-Y was very little known to the out- side public. Now it is getting mature and the outside world is learning of its good work. The Tech Hi-Y participates in most all the sports activities held at the Central Y.M.C.A. They won the softball crown of the Hi-Y League in the year of 1940. It was also twice runners-up in volleyball and basketball and once in track. In social activities, the Tech Hi-Y was very successful. It helped the T. C. A. and L. L. A. to put over three dances which were held in 1940 and 1941. These dances were very successful. Officers Sal Coviello ,...,.....,,........,..,.,,... .........., .
