Girls' Club. With the help of the Seniors, the Frosh were riotiously put through their stunts. The Girls' Club held a very lovely tea in honor of their mothers in the Spring, with Valentines as the theme. A small corsage was given to each mother upon her arrival at school. After a short program, the mothers were served refreshments in the Home Economics room. This year because of the bond issue on the swimming Pool, the President of the Girls' Club, Sherry Speer, and the President of the Boys' Club, Troy Myers, held a debate in front of the Student Body, presenting the facts for and against the issue. After the debate, the discussion was open to the Student Body. A new practice was started this year by the Girls' Club.. Each week an out-standing girl from the high school was named as Girl of the Week . The end to a very successful year came in May when delegates attended the annual tea in Entiat. She was honored by being chosen to give a speech at the Princesses' Banquet. Her escort was Frank Motteler. In the Grand Parade, Leovenworth's float won 4th place in the Community Division.
