Comprised mostly of seniors, the team compiled an 8-2 record which included two wil over Wayne Central, a team previously undefeated for forty straight games. Having lost many fine playersby graduation, the team faces a re-organization during the coming season. Coach Cli: Washburn has a capable Junior Varsity team to draw from. With a few returning lettermen, he will put in the field team in 1958 that will maintain Wolcott's traditional position in Wayne County soccer. 5

Baseball Last year's baseball team had a season that was as disheartening as any ball team ever experienced. Of eleven games played eight games were lost by a margin of one run. Many times Wolcott would pile up what seemed to be a comfortable score early in the game only to lose out by the narrow one-run margin at the end of the game. The prospects for this year are brighter. By graduation only one regular player was lost and most of the lettermen of last year will be in the lineup this year. Besides the jinx has been broken!
