A dvisor This year the Student Council, in addition to supervising and sponsoring annual projects, such as Student Day, Fall Elections, March of Dimes Campaign, and the Halloween Party, has taken up three new projects. One was the foreign exchange program, which because of a lack of housing facilities, could not be put into effect this year. The other two projects are the revising of the Student Council con- stitution, which is done every four years, and the building of a permanent hot-dog stand planned for this spring. For their Christmas project the girls decided to help with one community project. The club is now planning an assembly program. To be an eligible member of this club a girl must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and must have some intention of becoming a nurse. Because the need for good teachers is constantly growing more serious, the Calla Green Club is doubly useful. It enables students to learn something about the work and rewards of various kinds of teaching and by this means brings new talent to future faculties of the na- tion's schools. a I U 2 3 2 5 E 1 1 3 S 5 3 S , 4 4 5 i F Q ? 5 Pat and Frank Freer Tom and Dan Osborn Barbara Halligan Norma Woods Mary Lou Hanneman Phyllis Stanley Ronald Blauvelt Queeno Van Auken James Snyder June Correll Alice Van Duyne Shirley Penner Barbara Penner Identification for Seniorsnapshots on pages 25 and 4-2. Baseball Last year's baseball team had a season that was as disheartening as any ball team ever experienced. Of eleven games played eight games were lost by a margin of one run. Many times Wolcott would pile up what seemed to be a comfortable score early in the game only to lose out by the narrow one-run margin at the end of the game. The prospects for this year are brighter. By graduation only one regular player was lost and most of the lettermen of last year will be in the lineup this year. Besides the jinx has been broken! Comprised mostly of seniors, the team compiled an 8-2 record which included two wil over Wayne Central, a team previously undefeated for forty straight games. Having lost many fine playersby graduation, the team faces a re-organization during the coming season. Coach Cli: Washburn has a capable Junior Varsity team to draw from.
