She obtained an A.B. de- gree from Lander College and an M.A. degree from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. McLaurin teaches English and French. Parlez-vous francais? 'VNS i 1-1 S Q 1 . . y -1 ,.,- l In the classroom.. Coming to us from Rock I-lill, Mrs. Lottie B. Wade has added much to our school as a teacher of math and English. She obtained her AB. degree from Win- throp College. Besides teach- ing, Mrs. Wade enloys sew- ing and reading. Fullfilling her childhood ambition to become a teach- er, Mrs. Lillian R. Duncan graduated from this high school and from the Univer- sity of South Carolina with an AB. degree. Mrs. Dun- can teaches English in Jun- ior High. Receiving a BS. degree from Georgia State College for Women, Mrs. Dorothy C. Ward entered the field of teaching Besides teach- ing senlor English, Mrs, Ward is the advisor for the student newspaper, The Rock Log. Mrs. Charlene Perriot, Eng- lish teacher, comes to us from New Castle, Delaware, where she graduated from the state university with an AB. degree. Mr. Daniel C. Willis, principal, had early ambitions of becoming an athletics coach. He graduated from both Newberry College and the Uni- versity ot South Carolina, respec- tively, receiving his Bachelor ot Sci- ence and Master of Education de- grees. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Willis enjoys hunting, fishing and boating. A n a t i v e of Graniteville, Mr. James A. Williams vows that his childhood ambition was to be a school teacher. He attended Junior College of Augusta and has an AB. degree from the University of South Carolina. According to Mr. Wil- liams, an ideal student is someone who knows where he is going and is willing to pay the price to obtain his goal. Mrs. Kathryn Woodward Wertz, secretary, has always been inter- ested in secretarial work. Mrs. Wertz graduated from Leavelle McCampbell in l959, and imme- diately became our school secre- tary.
