The STUDENT GOVERNMENT of the LEAR SCHOOL is comprised of the entire student body. It aims to foster
good fellowship, community interest, charitable projects and active participation in a seIf-governing body.

An HONOR COURT, comprised of elected ciass representatives is maintained to encourage good Citizenship,
and to foster democratic concepts through the administration of justice by the students themselves. The court
hears cases referred by the faculty and submits its decisions to the administration for review. Faculty Advisor:

and Character. The goals of the organization are to recognize an enthusiasm for leadership, to stimulate a desire

SPDHTS
Participation in sports provides students additional opportunities for the devetopment of coordination, Fitness,
and individual recognition. Miss J. Greenberg, Mr. R. Deeter, and Mr. D. Jess are the Physical Education
instructors and coaches. Mr, M. Mellion, Basketball coach.
Membership in the Florida High School Activities Association and Gulfstream Athletic Conference, Class A,
further the interest and enthusiasm in a competitive sports program. Intramural sports offered are Volleyball,
Girl's and Boy's Basketball, Soccer, Softball, and Baseball.
The 1979-80 Lear School Cheerleaders and Soccerettes add spirit and morale to the sports program. Faculty
Advisers: Miss J. Reizes and Miss J. Weisbrod.
