The PILOT FOREWORD With the publication of The Pilot” by the class of 1939, the Leaksville High School presents its third yearbook. This is a continuation of the idea, begun in 1937, of publishing an- nually a volume summarizing the four years’ work of the graduating class and giving honorable mention to the other three classes, the clubs, and the organizations that make up our school. This book has two purposes: first, to preserve for our friends a record of school activities; second, to give to the 1939 graduating class a concrete memory of the many happy days they spent in Leaksville High.
