In l936 a very tlmld class of thlrty entered the flrst grade at the little green school house' We were lgnorant of all rules of school, but eager and ambltious to learn Members of the class were Dorothy Chlrardl, Allce Chrlst, Lo1s Fae Newton, James Smlth, John Whltworth Johnny Cucco and Denny and Dalton Srngeltary As we trudged on, along the rough and rugged path, Ralph .Lldape 30111 ed us ln the flfth grade In the elghth grade two more members Jolned the class, these belng Jerrle Hans and Cllfford Lawrence A1106 Chrlst was our presldent and Mlss Constance Schroeder was our sponsor durlng that year After these seven hard years of struggllng these eleven, together with fourteen others, entered hlgh school lI'1 l9Z,3 Llke all Freshmen, on enterlng hlgh school, we were lnltlated by the upperclassmen The purpose of the 1n1t1at1on may have been to show us that we were not as blg as we seemed to thznk, but lt d1dn't affect us, lnasmuch as we contlnued to run wlldly all over school Mrs A B LeFevre was our sponsor durlng our Freshman year Karl Abrams, the last to jom us, enrolled ln the Junlor year Vltl6S were hlghllghted by two outstandlng events the recelvlng of our class plns and the Junlor-Senlor banquet In the coronatlon of the 191.5 Halloween Carnlval Dalton Slngeltary and Jerrle Hans were the Duke and Duchess from our class At the end of the 1945 football season Ralph Aldape was selected as Co-Captaln of the squad when we entered school ln September 1946 as Senlors, we were twelve ln number On the flrst day of school we ordered our class rlngs and re celved them lI'1 December Durlng the second week of school we organlzed the CiV1CS Club 111 our C1v1cs Class Thls club norrlnated candldates to run for the Off1CeS in the Student Councml As a result of the electlon whlch followed the students of the entlre hlgh school elected A1106 Chrlst as presldent, Karl Abrams as v1ce-presldent, and Dorothy Ghlrardl as Secre tary and Treasurer About a week before we started our Chrlstmas holldays the glrls of the class decorated the hlgh school Chrlstmas tree and on Frl day, December 20, the entlre class played Santa Claus to the high school In the Second Annual Halloween Coronatlon, Karl Abrams and Al1ce Chrlst were the Prlnce and Princess from our class Mr A B LeFevre was our sponsor durlng this glorlous year X 0 0 I ' , , . . t 1 . . , , . . . .
