SoCWL A year of development — that was this year for the Leaf River High School soccer team. The team grew to twenty-two players, the largest Leaf River soccer team to date. The team scored its first ever goal against Freeport and the team won its homecoming game against Rockford Lutheran 4-3. This was not a high scoring season or a winning season, but none the less it was an important step in the building process. Through the struggle of this season, the team met challenges put in front of them and everyone grew to become better soccer players and stronger individuals. Team members and their positions were as follows: Strikers — Nick Heidenreich. James Kump, Steve Stukenberg, Rick Bicksler, Scott Josephitus. Scott Slack; Full Backs — Joe Bull. James Russell.
