HOMECOMING This year's homecoming was a new experience for Leaf River students. It was held during the week of the first home basketball game against Miiledgeville. The week was filled with many activities and contests to choose a class with the most spirit. Dress-up days included a 50's Day . Pajama Day, an Opposite Dress Day Preppy Day, an Inside-out, Backwards Day Hat and Shades Day, a Christmas character Day Nerd Day and a Blue and White Day. Winners of the contests were: Pancake Races - Seniors. Egg Toss - Seniors, Singing Contest - Seniors, Tug-of-war - Seniors, Spirit Chain - Juniors and Hall decorations - Juniors. A powderpuff basketball game was held between the Varsity and Frosh-Soph girls with the Frosh-Soph winning 9-2. Overall the Seniors won the Spirit Week as they had done for the previous two years. The theme of the Homecoming dance was Welcome to Paradise, and music was provided by R.J.'s Dynamic Sounds. The Homecoming Court included Freshmen Jami Cook and Brian Myers, Sophomores Carrie Cook and George Boomgarden, Juniors Kim Wells and Bob Betz and Seniors Shelly Kurtenbach. Mic Badertscher, Marcia Sattgast, Jeff Sundberg, and Queen Jodi Engbert and King Mike Carr. 1984-85 King and Queen Ray Smith and Stepnanie Bicksler crowned the new royalty and Crownbearers were Brian Schelling and Karen Lindquist. 2 Homecoming

Tanya Zellers scores 2 points for the winning Frosh-Soph while Seniors Robin Fager, Jodi Engbert and Mary Bicksler wait for the rebound.
