Prom 1979 A Time For Us On Friday evening of April 20, 1979 the Junior class entertained the Seniors and their dates at the Rockford Holiday Inn for the 1979 Prom. The theme of the Prom was 11A Time For Us'1. The toastmaster for the even- ing was Jeff Schelling. He first introduced Kevin Pop- pen, Junior class president, who welcomed all the Seniors and hoped they had a good time at both Prom and Post-Prom. Dan Miller, Senior class president, accepted the welcome and on behalf of the Seniors thanked the Juniors and their adviser Miss Alvey for all the time and effort put in. After a very nice buffet supper, Mike Wilson, a past graduate of Leaf River, spoke to the group. After the speaker, a dance fol- lowed at which everyone seemed to have a good time. At the close of the dance, everyone met later at the Mt. Morris bowling lanes where the Juniors had re- served the entire building until 5A.M. Everyone seemed to have a good time, bowling, playing pool and of course eating ! It was a good time enjoyed by all. 28 Prom
