Athletic Banquet This years athletic banquet was entitled Super Stars 76 and the SOS did a very nice job of organizing it. The highlight of the evening was the pres- entation of awards to all sports participants. Miss Padgett first awarded all the Poms and Cheerleaders who in turn gave her flowers. Mr. Nolan gave the Fr. Soph basketball awards with Most Improved Player going to Pat O'Brien and the Scholastic Award to Jack Potts. Mr. Van degraft gave Var- sity awards with MVP to Brad Miller, Defensive Award to Rick Williams, Free Throw Award to Jay Leisson and Scholastic Award to Dan Dilbeck. Mr. Harmston gave the football awards with the honors going to Tom Bar- ber, Brad Miller and Butch Pingel. In Fr. Soph. Mr. Nolan honored Steve Hartje, Russ Green and Wayne King as the award winners. Bill Toannon was given the Sportmanship award.

Again this year the SOS put on their annual money- maker, a carnival. Everyone had a great time, especially all the little kids who won such prizes as rings, compasses and tops just to name a few. The carnival was complete with games, booths, a very wet sponge throw, bobbing for apples and a very scary wax museum as can be seen from the pictures of a few of the characters. The SOS worked very hard and did a great job. s 0 s C a r n • 1 v a 1 26 SOS Carnival

“Carnival” This year LRHS presented their first all-school mu- sical, Carnival , a story of a poor orphan girl who joins a carnival and is caught up in all its glamour and emotions. The musical met with huge success due to the talents and work of the 36 member cast. They worked very hard on parts, costumes and scenery and the effort paid off with full houses both nights. Thanks must be given to Mrs. Dunbar and Miss Alvey who co- directed, Mr. Anderson who worked with the chorus, Miss Padgett who choreographed the dances and a list of others without whose help, the show would not have gone on. We hope next years production will follow in Carnival's successful footsteps. CAST Lili Daurier................. Paul Berthalet............. Marco the Magnificent . . . Incomparable Rosalie . . • B.
