ROW 4: Ron Dickinson, Karen Buttel, Paul Borneman, Jan Jones, Tom Klapp, Debbie Blobaum, Tom Blake, Diane Bell, Tom Cowan, Jane Nelson. On June 7, 1974, 46 seniors received their dip- lomas, representing one of the best classes scholasti- cally to graduate from Leaf River High School. Out of the 46 graduates 31 were on the honor roll during the last quarter of the school year. They are to be com- mended for this honor. Again this year the gym was filled to overflowing with friends and relatives. The High School Band played the recessional and process- ional and also a selection with members of the gradu- ating class joining in. The Senior Chorus also sang a selection. Awards were given to many of the seniors. Reiko Dirksen and Paul Borneman won the Legion Awards; Gail Boomgarden was the recipient of the $200 Lions Scholarship; Statuettes were presented to Mar- cena Zellers for being Valedictorian, and Paul and Reiko again for being Co-Saluatorians. The John Sau- sa Band Award was given to Lorna Penn and Randy Kuntzelman; and the outstanding musician award was given to Jan Jones and Jason Palmer. Guest speaker for the evening was Dr. Kenneth E. Borland from High- land College. The class also presented a check for $100 as their gift to go toward the purchase of a new Class Motto school camera. We wish the Seniors every success.
