The play was based on Jesse Stuart's bio- graphical novel about his first teaching experi- ence in the hills of Kentucky. To prove the effectiveness of an education in a country school, an academic bee with the local town school proved the superiority of Lonesome Valley. You, the Jury Sheila Vincent--South Broad Street BUT IT'S TRUE ISN'T IT? THERE'S NO QUESTION ABOUT IT SURPRISE WITNESS . . . The Seniors had a new problem in producing their class play. Since the regular stage was made into a class- room, they had to make their own stage in the gym, but with creative minds and willing help a stage was finally assembled. Meanwhile the cast prac- ticed and slaved every night learning lines and preparing for the final production on April 26. That date rolled around all too soon. Getting last minute costumes, learn- ing last minute lines, and making sure the stage was ready went into that last hectic week. As the lights dimmed, butterflies were calmed and the Senior class produced the courtroom drama YOU, THE JURY to their waiting au- dience.
