HAPPY WAYS Homecoming Court: Freshmen--D. Brown, S. Penn; Juniors--J. Schrader, J. Patchin; Seniors--E. Fogle, K. Wittenbeck, B. Patterson, M. Schelling, C. Heater, J. Miller; Sophomores--S. Davis, N. Branscomb; 64 Royalty--A. Kuntzelman, S. Greenwood. The Homecoming week-end started off with the Pep-Rally Thursday night. At the rally spirits were high and the appearance of the De- mon had an even greater effect on the students than expected. On Friday night the tension was overwhelm- ing with hopes that we would win our last home game of the season. During the game Alumni were renewing old friendships but with a watchful eye on the game. Then it happened! The Demons defeated the Franklin Center Eagles with a score of 42 to 12. The dance was soon underway with excite- ment mounting as to who would be the Royalty for 1965. Marilyn Schelling and Bert Patterson were selected for the honor of Homecoming Queen and King. As the night wore on, the dance proved to be a success and then that old melancholy song, Good-Night Sweetheart, told all that the dance was over, ending the 1965 Football Sea- son. To the class of 67 the junior class play was something special. It started out with all the enthusiasm that they needed and ended with ten times more! As the weeks passed, the junior amateurs became grumpy and out of sorts. They were all certain it would be a flop! As the deadline approached, they buckled down to work and literally rode to victory!
