Janet Hoffman was selected by the faculty to attend Girl's State in the summer of 1955. Sheryl Schlafer and Norman Templin were selected to attend Boys' State. Janet was also selected to receive the D. A.R. good citizenship award. Loretta Buakohl was awarded a medal by the Betty Crocker Foundation. She received the highest mark on a Home Economics Test administered to all Senior girls.

'PiofiAeccf Ackerman is a blond and as cute as can be. She is now a model on colored TV. Wayne B. used to hunt squirrels. But now he is coach of the Leaf River Girls. Sharon is a girl full of steam. But recently she patented her own brand of ice cream. In school Loretta was having trouble with her men. But last time we heard she had at least ten. Now Jan is a real smart lass, She is private tutor to a pig latin class. Junior, he turned out best of all, He is now with the Dodgers playing ball. Sandy is the gal who could lead a cheer. She was chosen Miss Lightsville last year. Leonard is a hard working man, He is now a driver of a moving van. Phyllis was the girl who could kick. Now she is manufacturing her own pogo sticks. Sheryl is famous throughout the land. He is head of his own Jazz Band. Schultz is a star in everything it seems. And now he's married and has his own teams. Donna was the girl with personality plus. Now she is driving a big yellow bus. Jack is the guy we all cheer. He is running for Governor this year. Norman used to be quite a brain, But alas! He's shoveling coal on a railroad train.
