Glass Df story 1951-1952 On August 27, 1951, 31 curious Freshmen began four memorable years at L. R.H. S. OFFICERS President---------------------------Shelby Wagner Vice President-------------------- Janet Highbarger Secretary-Treasurer-------------Dwayne Templin Student Council— - Irene Genandt, Roger Schelling Advisor- -- ---------------------------Mr. Bialek During this year JoAnn Kuhlemeier, Dale Williams, Leo Borgman and Sue Hardt left us. On September 6, we were initiated. In March we participated in an all- school carnival. 1952- 1953 Our Sophomore class began with a total of 27. We added Ronny Heidenreich and Alan Jones. OFFICERS President----------------------------Shelby Wagner Vice President-----------------------Arnold Schaper Secretary-Treasurer---------------------------Janet Highbarger Student Council-----Kenny Meline, Delores Knodle Advisor------------------------------ Miss Graves We lost Melvin Toomsen, Wayne Pearson and Marvin Bolen. We had the coat check concession at basketball games. 1953- 1954 Our still progressive class returned in '53 with 24 members. OFFICERS President----------------------------Shelby Wagner Vice President-----------------------Arnold Schaper Secretary-------------------------------------Janet Highbarger Treasurer----------------------- Delores Knodle Student Council--Marilyn Myers, Ronny Heidenreich Advisor-------------------------------Mr. Frederick We sold popcorn and candy during basketball and football season. On November 16, we received our class rings. Our class play was Our Town, but it was not presented. During this year we lost Beth Filer, Kenny Meline, JoAnn Schreiber, Ronny Heiden- reich and Alan Jones. 1954- 1955 Nineteen hopeful Seniors started out their last year in L. R.H. S. OFFICERS President- -- - Delores Knodle Vice President-----------------------Shelby Wagner Secretary-Treasurer--------------------------Arnold Schaper Student Council - Loren Kappenman, Delores Knodle Advisors--------------- --- Mr. Gout ley, Mr. Asbury As the year progressed we presented our class play, Tree Points Inn on April 1 and 2. May 27, 1955, made our first step into the wide world, with high hope and great spirit.

I, Marilyn Myers, do will my plucked eyebrows to Sharon Bocker. I, Virgil Hagemann, leave my curly mop-top to Norman Templin, provid- ing he keeps it free from ticks, lice and other dome pests. I, Shirley Smith, do will my Hollywood figure to Judy Koemer. I, Janet Highbarger, do will my love for sailors to Sandy McKinley. I, Loren Kappenmann, do will my masculine figure to Clifford Craven, knowing he could use it. I, Mary Toomsen, do will my stored-up energy to Janet Hoffman. I, Roger Schelling, do will my ability to blow a trumpet to Roger Eisen, knowing he will make a big noise. I, Arnold Schaper, do will my ability to make good grades to Lawrence Ermey. I, Irene Genandt, do will my ability of going steady to Myrna Reed, hoping she proves to be successful. I, Norman Koerner, do will my collection of flashy shirts, socks, white bucks and dimples to George Barber. I, Marilyn Fischer, do will my giggles to Carolyn Jones, knowing she can make use of them.
