QCLASS PIQCDPHECYQ On the morning of May 27, 19609, I picked up the morning paper and as I turned the pages over, nv eyes fell first on the Lovelorn column of which Pauline Cook is now the Editors I next came to the sports section where I read that Donald Schelling had been named the years' most outstanding athlete. After I finished reading the paper, and since it was alnmst noon, I left my hotel rooms As I left the hotel there was a taxi parked by the curb, so I decided to ride to the restaurant where I planned to meet Betty Fulton, who is now secretary for the May- OT Of New York. The taxi driver was none other than Russell Nieman, he said that he had recently heard from Harry Thomas who owned a rancho Harry wrote that Bcb Kretsinger who was working for him break- ing branchos had just been badly hurt and that Dona Myers was nursing him back to healthe When I met Betty, she was very excited about a letter that she had received from Helen Book who had married the owner of a large fruit orchard in Californiao Helen told Betty that she heard that Paul Bawinkel was logging in Washington, and that she saw Lois Myers a few weeks ago. Lois was now a minister's wife with several kids. The waiter who came to take our order was, to our surprise, Kathryn Viel. Kathryn told us that she just came to New York a few weeks ago. When she left home there were only a few of our class that stayed near Leaf River. Dick Kretsinger was running the town's recreation parlor, which still seemed to be a very busy place. Ralph Meier was now raising swine on a farm west of Leaf River, and on the east side was Marvin Burkhart in stiff competition with him.
