Angie looks horrified by something as sophomore speakers pose. Could it be Connie's face? A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SPEECHIE BRRING! Oh, no! The alarm already? It’s 5:30. The bus leaves at 6:30. Is it really worth it? I must be crazy. I’m ready Mom. My script? I don't know where it is. The bathroom? No, I don't remember putting it there. Will you just get in the car? This bus is freezing. Who, me? Nervous? Never. I just like moths in my stomach. My knees are shaking? Probably because I'm cold. (Later) They're posting finals now. But I know I didn't make it. I gave my speech in 3 rounds and each time I'm SURE 1 had the toughest competition. And the judge . . . terrible! What? I made finals? You're kidding! No? You're sure? Allright!” I knew all of this was worth something! Mike Williamson and Dave Scott (Radio), and Kathy Belyea (Extemp) prepare their scripts the day of the contest. Original Speakers write their own speeches. (L to R): Brian Woodrey, Julie Nice, Sylvia Bane, Toni Stills, and Laura Ford. The Reader's Theatre includes Melissa Coppen-barger, Robin Winnick, Angie Scaggs, Vikki Scott, Stayee Swan and Jill Nice.

EVERYBODY'S DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT The dance floor looks scary. Let’s all sit this one out. Who could resist that table? Or those delightful smiles? 30 No, Joy, Doug doesn’t want to dance! Do they know something we don’t know? The LeRoy High School Junior-Senior Prom was held on Saturday, April 30, 1977.
