Students Are Recognized at Honors Assembly Student of the Month Award (L-R) R. Dardano, S. Scott, P. Harpeneau, K. Toohill, G. Puckett, not pictured B. Woodrey. Kelly Flanagan received the LEA scholarship award at graduation. Valedictorian was Mary Kay Goller and Salutato-rian was Kathy Belyea. Julie Dean was named Outstanding Senior Girl Athlete, and the Girl Sportsmanship Award was given to Sherry Remington. Ken Bruning Outstanding Senior award went to Rusty Dardano, while the Sportsmanship award went to Greg Puckett. 26

Seniors Show Off Their Ability!! Brian Woodrey won John Phillips Sousa award and the Art award. Kathy Belyea was the Math award winner, Mary Kay Goller the Science winner and Lisa Ritter the English award winner. Becky Wilkerson received the Home Ec award, Tim Marcum the DeKalb Ag award, and Patty Harpe-neau the Business award. Sherry Remington and Patty Harpeneau both won the attendance award--Sherry 4 yrs. perfect and Patty 3 yrs. perfect. Mary Kay Goller qualified for the National Merit Scholarship award. Rusty Dardano and Kathy Poindexter were named outstanding citizens with the DAR award. 25

LeRoy High School's Rah Rah Pep Club Pep Club Officers; Brian Woo-drey, Justine Kirby, Teri Carmichael, Julie Yount, Gary Hamblin. This year’s Pep Club cheered the LeRoy teams through thick and thin, resounding the school’s enthusiasm and school spirit. Along with keeping up the school spirit the Pep Club sold visors, Pep Club T-shirts, made Pep Club signs, and participated in Homecoming activities with a float. Much hard work was done by these people. Let’s keep up the good work. L-Club Strikes Again! L-Club Officers: Justine Kirby, Rusty Dardano, Nina Tucker, Dave Scott. The L-Club sponsored many projects such as, selling popcorn at ballgames, selling tote bags, helped with Homecoming plans, and also participated in Athletics for M.S. Much work has been done in the past, present, and will be in the future. 27
