OUTSTANDING STUDENTS GIVEN RECOGNITION This year 18 outstanding students made up the prestigious and coveted National Honor Society. Faculty members selected from Juniors and Seniors with a 4.0 grade average those who excelled in scholarship, leadership, character and service. The initiation of the new members was conducted by the old members who were aided this year by previous member Gary Golden, Class of 1964. SPIRIT REIGNS IN 76 Homecoming 1976 was a week filled with lots of enthusiasm and school spirit. Students enjoyed such things as Hat Day, Sock Day, Lick ’Em Day, and '50's Day. The court (at right from top) consisted of Rich Robbins, Kelly Flanagan, Tim Bruce, Julie Dean, Rusty Dardano, Barb Morgan, Jim West, Donna Dean, Queen Justine Kirby, and King Brian Wright. The girls proved their abilities in an exciting powder puff football game, followed by the bonfire. Despite a team loss on Friday night, the Seniors compensated for themselves by winning 1st place in both the banner and float competition. (shown below) 8
