George Gurrant As the long and wlndlng road of life at LeRoy High School ls travel- ed, the students are fortunate to have been guided by the reclplent of this year's High School Dedica- tion. Slnce he arrived at LeRoy In 1970, not only has he directed a path for his students: but he has shown a great deal of interest ln school actlvltles. He ls not just recognized for his dedication and Interest In each student, but for hls sense of humor and the actlvltles wlth whlch he ls involved. He counts among these various actlvltles: participation In faculty sports events: the class of '76 advisor during our eighth, ninth, and tenth grade years: and coaching the track team during its '74 season. He is most noted for his posltlon as assistant varsity football coach. During the six years at this post, he has gained great prestige among the players for his coaching ability. Therefore. wlth the feelings of admiration, respect, and love for a friend, as well as a teacher, e. the class of 1976, proudly pregnt the High School Dedication to you, MR. GEORGE GURRANT.

Known for patience, a pleasant personality, and a strong deter- mination to help others, the recipient of the 1976 Wolcott Street School Dedication has been teaching at LeRoy for the past twenty years. Almost every student has had some contact with her, especially in their first few years of elementary school. She went to Brockport Univer- sity, and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in physical education. She previously taught elementary physical education, and con- ducted classes for the perceptual- ly handicapped in Title I ta government sponsored programj after school. She is now working full-time on the perceptual the varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders and intramural sports until 1968. Giving of her time and herself doesn't stop when she leaves the school building. She is a licensed Red Cross Swimming Instructor. She is very involved in church related projects, and is active in the Parish Council at St. Peter's Floman Catholic Church. She also enjoys bicycling and knitting, and is an avid reader. We are deeply grateful for her years of selfless devotion to her pupils, her friends, and the com- munity.
