s, Foreword ml mi' 1' Many changes have taken place within the covers of this book. The keynote to this year's O-AT-KAN is: innovation, individuality, spirit, and variety. For example, one innovation called hot stamping was used to produce the cover design. Student-drawn end sheets added some of the individuality to the opening section of the book. These pages were reproduced in tan on a white back- ground for color coordination. The use of 'tspecial photo- graphic effects on the divisional pages gave them a new look. The amount of color photography has been increased, using duotone processing for added variety and effect. Much time and discussion was required of the editors be- fore A PLACE FOR A MOMENT was selected as the theme for the 1975 O-AT-KAN. This idea is displayed throughout the book along with excerpts from Robert Frost to give the book its spirit, as well as its individuality. Certainly, the 1975 edition of the O-AT-KAN is set apart from previous publications. It is hoped that you will find as much enjoyment reading the book as was derived from pro- ducing it. Jane M.
