Character is a compound of all the linest moral and spiritual qualities. lt is above reputation and is measured not only by words and deeds, but also by silent thoughts and unspoken motives. lt is the final goal of all education. Scholarship is the power of mind to clispell ignorance. Scholarship is within the reach of everyone, but he who desires it must earn it by putting forth a faithful effort. Scholarship gives light to men to dis- tinguish between right and the wrong, the good and the bad, the true and the false, the just and the unjust. Leadership is based on the power of personality. The leader must be able to keep faith with the trust that his companions place in him by their recognition of his leadership. To him that uses this great gift wisely and well, the world gives full measure of honor and glory. Service is givingf not only of our means and time but also of our- selves, not only for praise but also for the love of fellowmen. One who serves gives much of himself and gives it willingly.
