HILLMANA-Secre1,cu'y SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The unforgettable years that we, the class of 1961, have spent at Le Roy High School will remain always in our hearts. They have truly been years of great happiness and success. They say that competent leaders can make or break a group. Ours made it. They werei .lohn O'Geen as presidentg Karen Duson vice-presi- dentg Bonnie Hillman as secretaryg Reed Xllilliains as treasurer. Mrs. Leanen. Mr. Cahill and Mr. I.ane were our advisors. Our First responsibility was taking charge of the football refreshment stand. This proved successful and helped to unite the seniors. Next on our agenda came the traditional Spaghetti Supper which kept everyone busy working, During the fhristinas season we decorated the tree in Trigon l'arlt and followed this with caroling the town. lust before mid-term exams the class presented a Sadie llaw- lcins Twin Shirt dance. lrom which all proreefls went to thc Susan llifliner Scliolarship lfund. ln March came the annual senior play, which was en- titled The t'urious Savage. XYe started out at 6:30 in the morning and ate breakfast at Howard johnson Restaurant. XYe registered at the Statler Hotel in liiuttalo and were off to Niagara Falls for a ride on the Maid of the Mist and later for our exploration of Crystal Beach!! Then we headed back to the Statler where we changed into formal clothes for a delicious dinner followed by dancing in the ballroom. :Xt l2:0O we regretfully left for home. Other events were the annual Tountas Dinner and ot course who could forget Class Night ll .Xnd Finally came graduation day . . . when our last steps were taken through the doors ol' the Alma Mater into a world of opportunity,
