Here it is again, the first of the month NRS. LVILLAMEE XVe have often seen Mrs. Mary jo XVilli3.1I1CC,S smiling face behind the counter in the bookroom counting out change and writing the many re- ceipts. This along with her advisership of the Sophomore class, is an extrag for she has a degree from the college of Mount Saint Vincent, and she teaches the commercial subjects in LeRoy lligh School. MISS F0 RTMILLER XYith a minimum of noise and a maximum of efficiency, Miss livelyn Fortmiller conducts her high school mathematics classes. Miss lfortmiller has a B..-X. and a MA. degree and has attended Albany State 'l'eacbers College and Columbia University. Miss lfortmiller is adviser to the Nat- ional Honor Society. Her home town is Newark, New York.. MR. PERRONE Mr. llerrone received his B.S. in mathematics at Alfred University. After a leave of absence during the war, where he was in the Naval Air Force. he returned to LeRoy to teach high school math, including algebra, geometry. trignometry and business math. Mr. Perrone has a Fresh- men homeroom, is a Student Council adviser and has served on the Board of Regents. MISS MOR--TN Miss Moran attended Nazareth College where she received her B.S. degree. After graduation she came directly to l.eRoy where she has taught commercial subjects for four years. She is also an adviser to the Seniors where she has been a great help. Miss Moran is planning to leave us this year. XYe wish her lots of luck. AIRS. JVCCARTHY That delightful smile that you see in the hall between every period belongs to Mrs. Doris Mc Carthy who is originally from Byron. Mrs. Mc Carthy has her Bachelor of Science degree from Geneseo State Teachers College and has been teaching here for ten years. Mr. Kurth is faculty adviser to the ik.-Y, Clulm. Boys' Golf team and the lireshman class. tl I 'J .lille lpltilzlx Mr. 'l'homas Talmer was lnorn in Rochester. X. Y.. and obtained his HS. degree from lirock- port State 'l'eachers' College and Nlhany State 'l'eachers' College. Besides teaching citizenship education, M r. 'l'aher serves as adviser to the Sth grade. This is Mr. 'l'aher's first year in teaching and l,c-Roy students hope he will continue here for many vears. MIG. HI: 1-1. Mr. XYilliam llell attended Central Missouri State College and holds a ll. S. in liducation. He teaches citifcenship education and has heen with us for two yeras. llis other duties consist of advis- ing the sophomore class. coaching our Varsity footlwall team and track team and teaching wrest- 5 ling in the winter. M R. III' MON7' Mr. l7ulVlont. a graduate of Union College and ,-Xlliauy State Teachers College where he ohtained the BS. and MS. degrees. teaches health and hio- logy. He came to l.eRoy during the .lanuary mid- term of W54. Ile is one of our freshman class ad- visers and he may also he seen on the athletic field during our yearly track meets. helping with the various activities. .ll R. 'l'AtiGAlx'7' Mr. lirederick Taggart received his ll. of lid. and M.S. at lirockport and .-Xlhany State Teach- ers' Colleges. He teaches 9th and l2th grade citi- zenship education. lle has taught at l.eRoy Cen- tral School for four years. Mr. Taggart is adviser to the Senior class. llis inspiring attitude has helped many seniors through the years. Jllr. C1:l.Vtf,l Mr.Gangi is a graduate of the University of liuffalo. received his liachelor of Arts and Mast- ers of Education degrees. after which he taught in Falconer for one year. lle has headed our physics and chemistry departments for four years. teaches adult drivers' education after school and is an adviser to Student Council..

The Home Front MR. MANGEF'RIDA MR. SERIO MRS. MC ROBERTS MR. HARRISON Home Economics Agriculture and Shop MR. MANGEFRIDA Mr. Mangefrida has acquired a B. in indus- trial arts and has been teaching his subjects at l.eRoy Central School for fourteen years. He attended Geneseo and Oswego State Teachers Colleges to obtain his education. Among his duties are advising Student Council and teaching woodworking. metal working, auto mechanics, electricity and mechanical drawing. MR. SERIO Mr.Arthur C. Serio. teacher of industrial arts and drivers education. received his Bachelor of Science degree at 'Buffalo State Teachers Coll- ege. Mr. Serio is faculty adviser to the Sopho- more class and to the boys' bowling league. This has been Mr. Serio's second year at l.eRoy High. during which time, the students have come to re- cognize and appreciate the cheerful atmosphere that is created by his friendly smile and character. MRS. MCROBERTS Mrs.Ann Mclloberts is from Buffalo, New York. She received her BS. degree from the Home Economics School at Cornell. lfrom there she came to l.eRoy where she taught for two years and has lived for the past ten years. In january Mrs. McRoberts replaced Mrs. XVenner as high school home economics teacher. Besides serving in this capacity. Mrs. McRoberts has taught an adult education class for the past few years. UR. HARRISON Mr. Roger Harrison is in charge of the teach- ing oi agriculture at l.eRoy. Coming to us from Cornell University the previous summer, he has tal-ien over the farm training of the high school boys. The Future Farmers of America are also under his guidance as well as some of the 7th and 9th grade science classes. Mr. Harrison is also interested in athletics and has often aided the coaches.
