The Seniors Sept. 9. My first day as a senior. Was I ever as silly and as noisy as those under- classmen? . . . Dec. 3. Worked all evening at the spaghetti supper. We broke all at- tendance records .... May 8. This will be a short entry. Senior Ball - Wonderful? Just got in. Goodnight .... june 2. Senior trip to Crystal Beach tomorrow. Not quite like Washington, but we'll make the most of it .... June 28. Graduation Day is over. We end one phase of our lives and begin another.

'l'herefore. it was with con- siderable trepidation that we began the last fateful year of our school career. XYe were to add our names among those illustrious groups which had gone before us and we were determined to establish a record which would equal and surpass any record set by a previous class. 'l'o head our class for this strategic task we chose Cal l.athan and Romey l.achnicht. XYe started our campaign with a round and square dance on September 18. Our next work was the selling of refreshments at the football games. Also during football season we staged the first all round dance of the year on October 2-lth. Then came our first record smasher on December 2. lt was the spaghetti supper. Through the efforts of every in- dividual in the class we had the largest turn- out ever at a senior supper. For the benefit of the whole school, the senior class put up a fifteen foot Xmas tree on the school lawn during the Yuletide sea- son. XYith the same purpose in mind, we The Class of 1954 sponsored a sportsmanship assembly program to promote better relations between l.e Roy High and neighboring schools, especially Ha- tavia. In late lfebruary the cast of the senior play was chosen and on April 2 and 3 presented over 1200 people with a wonderful evening of mystery. suspense, and comedy. Our next accomplishment was the senior ball. lt was set for May Sth and on that night many sparkling and neatly dressed couples enjoyed three hours of dancing with The Four Clefs orchestra. XYe finished the year with the delicious 'l'ountas supper and the unforgettable senior trip. XYith the completion of our senior year and high school life. we are regretful but very pleased with our four years of successfully working and playing together. XYe only hope that the future will bring more of the same and remember. No one knows what he can do itil he tries.
