vi- 'Lyn 0-AT-KAN 1930 -Q, ll Toe Cfczss gfIQ30 HE Class of 1930 started upon its prosperous and eventful career in its Junior year under the guiding hand of Wendall Lapp, its president. Among the activities ofthe year were the institution ofa Junior Prom and the sponsor- ing of the University of Rochester Glee Club concert, which had also been our project in the preceding year. Cn September twenty-third, the Senior Class of sixty- three members was organized with Ellsworth Baldwin, presi- dent, Fern Ludlum, vice-president, Mary MacKenzie, treasurer, and Isadore Levinstein, secretary. Our motto, Through difficulties to the stars, was an inspiration which we gladly grasped and kept before us. Our activities during this year have been successively carried out in every respect. Being noted for our originality, we presented an assembly program which was deemed worthy of presentation before the public, so December twenty- seventh went down in history as our stage debut. Other high spots were our play, Skidding, and the Senior Ball. The class has had its share of participantsin almost every phase of the school's extra-curricular activities. We have been well represented in various speaking contests, the newly-formed debate team, music, athletics, and school pub- lications, while most of the organized groups have boasted oiiicers from our number. After work comes play, and we took ours at Easter- time when fifty of us went to Washington for a week of real fun and, at the same time, educational travel. And now, we bid good-bye to our dear old L. H. S., and departing, we fervently hope that our success and happi- ness will be always as evident as it has been while within her portals.
