This was the first time in eight years that a Le Moyne squad has topped 100. The outstanding individual game of the 1967- 1968 season was turned in by Chuck Brady when he poured in 32 points against Assumption. Le Moyne's top victories were over Vermont and Bucknell in overtime to win the Le Moyne Christmas Tournament. Successive victories over Hartwick, King's, St. Michael's, and Ithaca clinched Le Moyne's fourth NCAA bid in the last live years. . f! , H lzfjifii' ' Le Moyne's well-balanced scoring attack gave Coach Tom Nilandls squad a fine 14-8 record which included a victory in the Le Moyne Christmas Tournament and a bid to the NCAA College Division Regional Tournament at Rochester. The 1967-1968 season was Niland's twentieth at Le Moyne and was his eighteenth with a winning record. Niland is among the winningest coaches in national colle- giate ranks. His career totals now stands at 266 victories against only 164 losses. Five Le Moyne players, paced by Captain Gerry Mc- Dermott, scored more than 200 points during the season. McDermott, this yearls Most Valuable Player, led all scor- ers with 294 points and a 14.7 average. He was the only senior in the top five scorers. Close behind McDermott came soph playmaker Tom Downey with 277 points and a 12.6 average. Others in the top live were junior Chuck Brady with 221 points and a 10.0 averageg soph John Zych with 216 points and a 9.8 average, and junior Matt Fallis with 205 points and a 9.2 average. Sharpshooter Tom Devins and Earl Eichelberger averaged 7.7 points and 5.9 points respectively. Brady, with 187 rebounds, and Fallis, with 179 re- bounds, led the Dolphins off the boards. Downey, Zych, and Eichelberger also contributed over 100 rebounds. This was one of the Le Moyne's highest scoring clubs in recent years and reflected the team's ability to move the ball with greater speed and accuracy. Le Moyne amassed 1,708 points during the season for an average of 77.6 points a sg I QJEJL , g. 1 'f,4 X. 'img digg, 5 E ...JW L. 17 Back door. --ax-1-....,.,,

other seniors in June. They are Tom Devind, Earl Eichel- berger, and Dave Cary. Cary averaged 4.9 points and contributed greatly to the Dolphins late 'season surge. Despite the loss of four seniors, Coach Niland has a strong nucleus of players for next year's team. Chances look good for the improvement of the fine '67-'68 record. Start- ers Downey, Zych, Kawa, Brady, and Fallis will be ready for action next season. Niland also expects great things from talented soph, Dick Hojnacki and hot-shooting Bob Bradley from Texas.
