Munn , ig. The multi-talented Mike Cavotta in action. ge ' It beats buying a ticket. Pivot man. 161 -, - a+ 5 -L .. -. Senior Tom Burgess are available for spot starts and relief work. Le Moyne's batsmen are counted on for greater output in '68. Glasso, Hastings, Steve Stark, Joe Miller, Jim Saxby, and Ray Schlegel, with a year's experience under their belts, put a lot of punch in the Dolphin attack. Soph newcomers, joe Russo and John Zych, add still more power to the lineup. The '67 rebuilding season laid the ground- work for future success on the diamond. The combination of talented youngsters and pro- fessional know-how should put Le Moyne base- ball fortunes on the rise for many seasons to come. One of the seasonis few bright spots was Pete Murphy's well-pitched 6-1 victory over Oswego. Senior Paul Granato and joe Miller backed up Murph's pitching with two RBI's apiece. Another highlight was a hard fought 9-7 win over St. Bonaventure. Center fielder Miller again led the way with two hits and three RBI's. ,Mi -'qui

BASEBALL The 1967 season undoubtedly gave baseball coach Frank Calo many gray hairs. Inexperi- ence was the prime factor in Le Moyne's dis- appointing 2gl2 record. The sophomore-and freshman-laden squad never really jelled. The team seldom came up with the big play when they needed it. The pitching corps was somewhat erratic. Frosh Bill O'Brien and first year man, Pete Murphy, were forced into starting roles. Mr, Versatile, Mike Cavotta, often gave up his shortstop duties to take the mound. Tom Giarrusso and Bob Colozzo proved reliable in the bullpen. The Dolphin's batters were equally ineffec- tive. Leading hitters were Gary Glasso 1.3042 and Brent Hastings Q.281j. Experience gained by the younger players last year enhances the fortunes of the 1968 squad. Most of the pitching staff returns for another season. Murphy and O'Brien again carry the starting load while Giarrusso and Infield warm-up. 1 60 Tailor-made double play. At the hot corner, Glasso awaits another hot smash
