' I v ,. , W H L ? V A Knapp-snack. We started off line. Touted in the pages of the HEIGHTS as the brightest class ever accepted at Le Moyne, we felt ready to take our places among the intellectual giants of the day. The November Marking period forced the faculty to describe our academic achievements with a different set of superlatives! Undaunted, we turned our attention to Le Moyne's political scene with cries of Give us a place where a boy and a girl can watch television together. After the frenzy of a wild cam- paign, we relaxed by participating in the great Le Moyne social life, with its semi-annual minor dances, complete with juvenile beverages. As sophomores, we demonstrated the intensity of our intellectual lives by publishing JUNTO, the magazine that exhaustively explored every nook and cranny of learning in our class. Our new sophistication was further demonstrated by the deadly seriousness of our second political campaign. Once again the issue of com- munication appeared, but this time our resolutions were centered on a plan to build a campus radio station on the roof of the Science Building. Of course, there was an unforgettable Winter Weekend, complete with U. S. Bonds and the Action Dancers. junior year we turned our intellectual talents to the problems facing Le Moyne by spearheading the now present Student-Faculty discussions. Then we talked about such subjects as Why is Le Moyne unique? and Why Le Moyne? and finally Why? Socially we moved into the role of mature adults with a series of pre-dance cocktail parties that often made the dance anti-climatic. In our last year on the Heights, the class of 1968 showed itself ready to take its place in the community. We were handicapped by being post-Berrigan and pre- Choguill. So we were forced to confine our social welfare to the more immediate community: Spring- field, Genesee and Polk Street. Attending Le Moyne for four years has been a rich and varied experience. As we bid our less than tearful farewell, we are consoled by all that the Class of 1968 has contributed to making Le Moyne the college it is today. Dr. Haskell will not be meeting his classes ff today. ' I F there l fi, ' it 'Zta' X X X-a Tweety Pie. Whoa , kgpyvs. what
