Bergen soars in loss to jaspers Cortland Home Win Avenging an earlier loss, the Le Moyne Dolphins showed fine form and soundly whipped Cortland State Teacher's College by a score of 73 to 58. The game saw the Green and Gold take an early lead and maintain their margin through- out the contest even though the Dragons did threaten on several occasions. The game also marked the new school scoring record as Dick Kenyon dropped a free throw in with ten minutes gone in the first half thereby breaking Don Savage's six year old mark. Le Moyne held a 42-55 margin at half-time and through the efforts of Len Mowins, Bob Dietz and Kenyon were able to increase their lead in the second stanza. Top scorer for the Dolphins was Kenyon as the slender senior netted 22 points. He was followed by Bob Dietz who accounted for 16 points of the Le Moyne total. Cortland was paced by Frank Dawson who netted 17 markers. 49 'f'1.I' 1 1 ' . T lil, ' 'i I- 1, i Ml . 1 xr .4 Y ':: TE? ' .1 - F. V:f:: i f T f M ttiotu , 1 Q . Bowing out of the Dolphin lineup for the last time were five seniors, Kenyon, Dietz, Mowins, Phillips and Spaulding. Dietz and Kenyon took with them almost every individual scoring record in Le Moyne history. Le Moyne seemed to do everything right as they rolled to sizeable margins throughout the contest. The Dolphins moved into the lead after ten minutes had elapsed and were never in danger of losing their victory. Using their superior rebound' ing strength with great effectiveness, the Nilandmen ran the visitors into the floor. Siena tried to stop the Dolphins with both a zone and manrto-man defense but found their efforts of little use. Dietz and Kenyon marked the end of their careers by leading the scoring parade. Dietz, who broke Bill jenkins three year scoring mark, led the winners with 29 points. Kenyon said farewell with a 20 point outburst. . 1 Dietz gets a boost from Crough
