LIYSE Two and a half days each week sixty-seven young women, members of the Freshman nursing class at Saint joseplfs Hospital, supplement Le Moyne's student body. Interested primarily in developing good Catholic professional nurses, the Nursing School, in conjunction with the College, has established a system whereby at the end of three years the student has her R. N. and approximately two and a half years of college credits. The educational program is carefully planned to maintain the standards of the school and to meet state requirements. In addition, the Freshman student nurses enjoy the counseling of a priest from Le Moyne. The girls at Saint joseph's do not lead an easy life, they put in long hours of work and study. But the thrills of capping and graduation and, most of all, the satisfction of knowing that they are at last realizing a dream, make it all seem worthwhile. It is not difficult to picture them someday in their crisp white uniforms and perky white caps, ministering to those who need their help. We cannot help recalling, as we think about their chosen profession, the timeless words of Saint Paul, And the greatest of these is charity.
