Adept stringpullers, the cunning councilors practiced plenty of politics and ran the school with the official sanction and checking of figurehead principal D. A. Becker. O Passed Sadie Hawkins Week Proclamation. 0 Sponsored all-school sweater swing dance, two pay programs, basketball queen contest, two school skating parties, exchange assemblies with neighboring schools. O Inaugurated assembly ritual for more impressive as- semblies. O Backed the first all-school yearbook in many years, the '40 Wolverine Lore.
