Who?? Us?!! WHAT Air-conditioning? The Senior Class left on their Senior Trip bright and early (5 a.m.) on May 22. Everyone staggered aboard the bus, and some even tried to sleep as we rode along to- ■ward Chicago. We stopped at the last Glass House on the expressway for breakfast, spent an hour there, and then went on toward Brookfield Zoo. We spent some time at Brookfield, where everyone was entertained by the sights, sounds, and smells(?). After Ida and Kath returned to the bus, we set off for O ' Hare Airport, where we had a pleasant tour arranged by Dorothy ' s uncle, Mr. Raymond Wan- ink. We toured a jet, and the boys had a great time watching the stewardesses, while the girls kept their eyes on the pilots. OUR SEN Umm! At last! ! And me without my suit! Great White Hunters

Let us tell you about Brookfield- And as the sun sank-- After leaving the airport, we went to Howard Johnson ' s for a light snack, and then on to Maxwell Street, where several mennbers proved that they had great bargaining ability ! Several girls had their fortunes told, and one class member was offered a set of rings that originally cost $400 for $4. Free time came next- -shopping, riding subways, and stopping for light snacks, were among the activities that occupied the class. Everyone met at La Salle Street Station and changed their clothes and then followed Mr. Arends (who set an impossible pace) halfway across Chicago to a pier, where we boarded a small boat for a tour of the Chicago coastline. This trip was very relaxing and enjoyable. After the boat trip, we boarded several subways (there was a slight mixup as to what train we were supposed to be on)! and then transferred to a bus to go to Riverview Annusement Park. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves here, especially on the Para- chute Ride! The tired, hot, and sticky class members then boarded a bus, the subway, and finally our own fanniliar yellow school bus, which brought us back to Lawton at 4 a.m. on May 23.
