Lost! four years. It is true that they are gone and we can never bring them back, but they were not lost, only captured. Each incident of these four years, which sped so quickly has been a link in a chain of many events which has brought to- gether 60 individuals into a co-operative unit, the Senior Class of 1954. Gudl ' IttU a. The first year in the great doghouse we were merely a litter of one hun- dred eight puppies with one ambition — to become mighty bulldogs. We chose leaders and dabbled our paws in a thing or two, such as a party or a program and a few got muddy on athletic fields. Our Sophomore year we were given a longer leash. With the novelty of our position in the doghouse having disappeared with our Freshman year and not yet mature enough to enter in the activities of our elders we spent our days preparing ourselves to carry on the work and play that would come to us as full- fledged members of the Kennel Klub.

Our Junior year we began to howl for recognition. We joined clubs and actually felt as if we had reached a high peak in this dog life. In fact, we put on the dog at our Cinderella Ball which we gave in honor of the Big Dogs. We strutted on field and court and diamond to win much coveted prizes. And now we are the Big Dogs and have the loudest barks in all we under- take in the doghouse. We published the Bow Wow and this volume, the Sen- tinel. We produced a senior play, which is an example of what we can do when we are unleashed. We ran again unleashed on court and field piling up victory on victory. We gave our Bulldog trainers some anxious moments, but they were wise and gentle, and we had a most successful year. te Our days in school, our dog-house, are over. The class will be broken as each goes to play his part in life, but so strong was that chain that always we will be linked with mind and heart- — with what we have learned and what we have loved — to L.
