FOOTBALL The Fighting Bulldogs” of Lawrenceville High School had a most successful season. They won three games, lost three games and tied in two games. The Bulldogs started the season with only two lettermen. The men were light but they ma de up for it with their fighting spirit. WON LOST TIED Glen Allen 21-0 Appomattox 0- 6 Morrison 0-0 Ashland 14-0 Blackstone 0-26 Farmville 0-0 Emporia 6-0 Victoria 0-13 GIRLS’ BASKETBALL dt Although most of the Girls Basketball team had never played more than a quarter of a game until this year, they showed grand sportmanship and cooperation in the games played. Nine of the team earned letters BOW-WOW The Boii’-Wow, the school newspaper, was started in the fall of 1937 and has been published each year since then. During the 1940-41 session there have been ten issues of the paper. The purpose of the newspaper is to report the activities of the school. It also offers to all students an apportunity to put their thoughts into piint; for original poems, stories, and essays are published in the Bow- ' Woxv. This year the Botv-W oiv has given financial aid to the Sentinel and has made a payment on the piano which the school has bought. F. F. A. CLUB The F. F. A. Club, under the direction of Mr. Huffman, has been very active this year. The members assisted the P.-T.A. by planting shrubbery around the grade building. They repaired toys for the needy children at Christmas. The Club has been most suc- cessful with its baseball and basketball teams.
