You as the high school semors of this year are graduating into a world engaged in a struggle between two opposing concepts of human organization which may con tinue their dlfterences for years to come This struggle may be only in part and sporadically military although there exists the possibility of large scale military combat but certainly the struggle will exist in other forms military and ideological Our present military weakness must be corrected in a quan tatatlve sense but also in the superior quality of training On the ideological front you must mobilize your intellectual and spiritual resources to disseminate truth and make meaningful your heritage of freedom Essential to technological ascendancy is the freedom of the mqulring mind You must balance the numerical needs of the military with the nations continuing need for liberally educated men and women In each of these phases a continuing higher education is essential Feel not that you have graduated but rather that the doors have lust opened to you for your pre paredness to serve mankmd Your Superintendent H P Harrison F r The conflict in which you find yourselves is being fought on three fronts: technological,
