flfafhm Wesley, ,Qui enlf During the short time that Dr. l3usey has been our chiei executive, he has proved himself to be a real part ol college lite at Lawrence. Every campus activity has received his enthusiastic interest and support. l'lis earnest program to malce Lawrence a truly Fine, democratic institution was climaxed this year by the introduction of the freshman studies course. Lawrence guinea pigs reacted overwhelmingly in iavor of this freshman studies experi- ment. It paves the way for them to a liberal arts education. However, this was only one oi Dr. Pusey's projects for malcing our alma mater an ever- improving school. l lis-own boundless spirit and high ideals have done very much in themselves to contribute to the improvement and growth of Lawrence. May he long continue unseltishly to instill his enriching lcnowl- edge and enthusiasm into the student body. We thinlc of him as part of us, for he has become a sincere friend of every Lawrence student, showing a vital interest in each ol us. We, in our turn, Feel very fortunate to have such an intelligent and successful leader. l-le is always on hand, either backing the team at basketball games, dancing with his charming wife at social affairs, or introducing the spealcer at convo. Although he is our newest dean, he has proved himself a regular old-timer, inspiring Lavvrentians by his great enthusiasm for our Alma Mater. Lavvrentians meeting him on the street are greeted with a smile and a tip of his hat. Hats oil to him, too, for his grand vvorlc. Page '17
