L-BUUK 1951 l 1 GDING T0 CULLEGEQ THE RESULT... Today's freshman, upon entering college, has been indoctrinated with the importance of task consciousness in a world torn by strife and political dissensions. He came to college im- bued with an idea of the seriousness of his place in the world. Frequently, this indoctrination causes him to lose sight of the fact that education has a two-fold purpose in life: 'l-subject learning, and 2-social adjustment. We, the graduating class of 1951, have found that these two features of college life must be harmoniously pursued so that in gaining the status of a professional ranking, we can reflect the ideals placed by the world on the professional man. This we feel has been accomplished. It is true that at times we slipped and did not see the forest for the trees, but now we can look back with pride, secure in the sense of accomplishment and commencement. For most of us, professional life is beginning. We must maintain the standards that society has placed on our diploma. We are ready.
