Notice that beam of pride on Mr. Dodds face? lt illus- trates the feeling that all Lawrencians, from the top down, have for the school. Our Superintendent of Schools has good cause for feeling proud because our rapid progress is due, in a great measure, to his tireless efforts. When the post of Superintendent became vacant in l935, Mr. Dodd, having been a chemistry teacher in the school, knew thoroughly the problems confronting the system and was chosen to nll the vacancy. He has since proved his understanding by institut- ing the much needed Guidance Department, encouraging the music and art departments, and expanding the vocational courses. For his pride in us, weire twice as proud of him.
