THE HZWQE H957 EDITORIAL The Sensor Class of 1957 faces a two fold problem We must help solve the problem of nnterplanetary development and also help dlssolve the complex duffncultles of polltncal strlfe and social unrest nn our own world Sclentlsts have sketched the plans for unauofuratlnof travel between planets We young men and women must carry out these plans as well as meet the challenges of our uncreaslnvly complex world But our most nmportant work IS contrubutung to harmonuous re Iatuonshlps between natnons We can do thus by unduvndually developing a better understandlng of and a greater wnllmgness to co operate wnth our fellowmen Wlth the atomlc and hydrogen weapons whlch stand Great nations are causunof them to utlluze theur supreme efforts to mam tam a strong defense against one another The conflncts between the smaller natlons brnng hardship and unhappiness to those Involved If man IS going to continue to llve on thus planet and to enjoy a decent standard of llvlng war with nts accompanying tragedies of dlsease poverty and waste of llfe must be abollshed We the Class of 1957 have our work clearly before us nnternatlonal harmony and lnterplanetary expanson These are dlfflcult tasks toward whuch we must resolutely dedncate our efforts Robert Vlles and Arthur Pettengnll ' I I 1 ' n . l C A C C I :Q 1 a I 5 I l ' 3 1 .
