LAWRENCE LYRE very good players were found. Among the high scorers were Eugene Ames and Robert Bragg. Mr. Karl McKechnie was our coach. Each group of the eighth grade has a science club organized for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of science principles. Dues paid at each bi-weekly meeting are used to purchase equipment. This equipment now consists of a small aquarium and two experimental kits. One of the kits is used to demonstrate the purpose and use of the mag- netg the other, to show the effect of an argon light on certain minerals. The minerals include fluorite, Willemite, wernerite, opal, and semi-opal. From the range of this light, these minerals glow with fluorescence.
