Commended Displaying her talents through extra-curricular activities, Anita Kibbe enjoys cake decorating, needlework, racquetball, and singing in the church choir. Although she has many talents in these areas, Anita is also talented in her school activities. Anita was a member of National Honor Society and All-Region Orchestra. She was awarded Most Positive 1982 and was also selected as Who ' s Who in English and in Business. Future plans for Anita include attending Stephen F. Austin to earn a degree in accounting and becoming a certified public accountant. Being able to enjoy the company of others and knowing they care about you is the good life to Nathan Farner. Nathan enjoys the company of others at Bell through his many activities. He played basketball his sophomore year and baseball in his sophomore and junior years. Along with his sports involvement, Nathan is a member of the Science Club and the National Honor Society. Studying business, engineering, or computers at the University of Texas at Arlington and then transferring to Texas A M will keep Nathan busy for the next four years. Running both cross-country and track takes much determination, and determination is just what Bryan Turner has. His involvement in track and cross-country led him to be chosen as Who ' s Who in those areas. Bryan tries to excel in anything he attempts. This year he serves on the Senior Class Council and is a member of the Spanish Club. Bryan is also the recipient of the Young Texas award. Besides his school activities, Bryan enjoys photography as well as both water and snow skiing. After graduating from Texas A M, Bryan plans a career as a veterinarian for a zoo. 27

Student Involvement Carol Hefler ' s athletic abilities have played a major part in her high school career. As a varsity tennis player, she vi as chosen most valuable player in 1981, Who ' s Who for Tennis in 1982, and is ranked sixteenth in the state of Texas. Carol ' s talents are not limited to just the tennis courts. She is a top scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. Carol plans to attend college where she vj continue to play tennis and receive a medical degree. When asked what she would be doing in twenty years, Carol said, I will be either in the operating room with a patient or on the tennis court playing the finals at Wimbledon. Carol Kllngman, Head Drum Major for the L. D. Bell Marching Band, is also a talented musician. Because of her ability to play the flute, Carol has been chosen as a member of the All-Region Band and the All-Region Orchestra and the Texas All-State Band. When asked what she thought is one of the advantages of going to Bell, Carol replied, Meeting a person who has pushed and motivated me for a long time, Laura Hof . I truthfully believe that I would not be where I am without her support. Carol plans to obtain a degree in mathematics with an emphasis in computer science at North Texas State University. SENIOR SUPERLATIVES Entertaining others is one thing that Philip Glonn enjoys doing most. He does this through his activities in L. D. Bell ' s Band and Acapella Choir, of which he is Student Director. He is also a member of the Texas Music Educators Association State Choir and the All-Region Choir. Philip ' s other activities include the German Club, the Whiz Quiz Team, and National Honor Society. Awards that qualify Philip as a Superlative include being chosen as a National Merit Semi-Finalist, Senior of the Month for January, and as a Who ' s Who Among American High School Students. North Texas State University will be where Philip will continue his education.

All School Favorites Sherry Kneis As an All-School Favorite, one would have to be friendly to all their ovi n classmates plus more. Senior Sherry Kneis. according to the student body, qualifies as an Al l-School Favorite. Sherry vi as a Raiderette all three years here at Bell, and has also been active in choir. This year she was president of the Treble Chorus. To promote spirit through the student body, Sherry, as a member of Student Coun- cil, participated in many activities sponsored by the coun- cil. Her warm smile and interest in others influenced the student body when choosing their All School Favorites. Brad Turner Through his various activities. Brad Turner, Senior, associates with many different kinds of people. His friend- ships with so many different people helped him to become an All-School-Favorite. Brad has been a member of the band all three years at Bell. This year he was drum major of the mar- ching band. He also plays with Bell ' s stage band. Brad is also involved in many student related organizations. Two of these are Student Council and National Honor Society of which he is Parliamentarian. His winning personality is one of the at- tributes Brad has that encouraged the student body to vote him as All-School-Favorite. 28 FAVORITES
