Senior Privilege A Style All Our Own Upperclassmen. Seniors. Privileged — the best! That is what we are, the class of 1982. There is no one like us, with a style all our own. We are better than everyone else and our pride and spirit shines in everything we do. We set the examples for the lower classes to follow. As Bell ' s motto, We do not imitate, but serve as an example to others, we serve as the leaders, the class that sets the tone and style. These are not just our last days of high school, but the first days of our life in the real world, as we make a reality of our plans and dreams for the future. Someday, they say, we will look back on this year. We will remember our beautiful homecoming float that should have won. And having the privileged blue parking sticker that we so proudly displayed on our windshields, telling the world that we were seniors. What about the masses of cars leaving for lunch and the lines at McDonalds? That is all part of being a senior and we have loved every minute of it. This year has been our time to show our very own style and we did. From the twinkle in our eyes during the alma mater to the pride in our smile when someone mentioned the Bell Blue Raiders, we have made it clear that WE ARE THE SENIORS, the CLASS OF 1982. d, OPENING

BREAKING TRADITION With a Double Dedication Once in a while one discovers someone who leaves a lasting impression on him. But only once in a lifetime does he discover two people so close to him, that are so outstanding and leave such a lasting impression on everyone they touch. The 1982 RAIDER staff was blessed with two such people and we would like to express our deepest appreciation by dedicating the ' 82 RAIDER to Mrs. Carolyn . Dean and Mr. E. Don Brown. Mrs. Carolyn Dean has served as advisor to the yearbook staff for the past sixteen years. There is no tighter knit organization on the Bell campus than the Raider staff. Mrs. Dean has encouraged us to work together as a team, producing one of the most successful books in Texas. It takes a great amount of understanding and patience, yet a strong will and determination to be a successful yearbook advisor. We feel Mrs. Carolyn Dean is the best, not only as an advisor but a teacher as well. She has taught here at Bell for the past sixteen years and is presently head of the business department. Mrs. Dean has two daughters who are graduates of Bell and is a devoted wife, mother and recent grandmother. A dedicated teacher, a strong leader, a wonderful person and a best friend — We love you, Mrs. Carolyn Dean. One smile alone keeps L. D. Bell shining with pride and spirit. This is the smile of our principal Mr. E. Don Brown. The concern, feeling, and sincere interest that he has for Bell ' s student body and faculty is the most evident in all that he does. Mr. Brown has been principal for six years, having served as either principal, coach, and or teacher in this district for over nineteen years. He is a devoted husband and father, a noted speaker, an active member of the local, state and national organizations and serves as an inpsiring Christian by his activeness in the First Baptist Church. How fortunate we are at Bell to have such a gentleman serve to lead and direct our high school. We are honored to have hi.T! as our principal and it Is with great pride that we dedicate this annual to him. 14 DEDICATION
